When the pandemic hit, Barry's, like many fitness clubs, faced significant challenges with no digital presence or infrastructure to support their community. To date, Barry's has 84 studios across 14 countries, with six locations in the U.S. Over 140K members of the Barry's Fit Fam take class every week.

When the pandemic hit, Barry's, like many fitness clubs, faced significant challenges with no digital presence or infrastructure to support their community. We’ve meticulously designed and built the entire Barry's X platform from the ground up in collaboration with the STRV agency. This comprehensive process included integrating Barry's existing reservation system and migrating the entire user base to the new platform. We delivered a suite of applications including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Apple Watch, Android phone, Tablet, Web, Web Admin, and a Web Membership app to enhance the in-app experience.

By transforming Barry's from a brick-and-mortar-only business into a digital powerhouse, we brought the in-person experience to the digital world. The final product features a social networking component that connects members of the global Barry’s community, fully customizable privacy settings, exclusive membership opportunities, hundreds of on-demand workouts, and over 150 weekly live stream classes. In these classes, instructors see and push you to keep going, while you can see and motivate everyone else in the class, mirroring the real-life experience. Over 140K members of the Barry's Fit Fam take class every week, benefiting from this seamless blend of physical and digital fitness.

Key achievements include:

  • Delivering a comprehensive suite of applications across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, Apple Watch, Android phone, Tablet, Web, Web Admin, and a Web Membership app.

  • Implementing a robust social networking feature that connects members of Barry's global community, enhancing engagement among users from 84 studios across 14 countries.
